talk to me ill make it work.Karen said:Had given up on msn as it wouldnt work but downloaded it yet again the other day and it's now working for once!! but it keeps disappearing from the dock and I have to download it again, what am I doing wrong :S
sn00p said:Have you dragged it into the dock? If you haven't then it'll only appear there when you run it and when it's closed, it'll dissapear.
sn00p said:Go to your harddisc and then it's inside Applications. Drag it from there onto the dock.
sn00p said:See my edit. Sounds like you didn't drag it from the disc image (the .dmg you would have downloaded) to the Applications folder. You just ran it straight from the image, hence why it's not there anymore.

Freebone said:lol....just tried.........it just popped up quickly in dock then dissapeared again.....didn't even open...don't know if this is because i still have 5.1.1 on the system but should still open....
dam microsoft..
just realised why now, msn needs mac os x 10.3.9
i have 10.3.7 ....doh..oh well
Freebone said:in your bar across the top of the screen, click on the apple, when it drops down click on "about this mac", a box should then appear of which it will say what version you are running
sn00p said:Karen has an intel mac so she has 10.4
Her problem I still suspect is that it's not been copied to applications. Once it's downloaded there should be a disk image on the desktop, she needs to open that and drag MSN into the applications folder, regardless of whether it runs automatically after downloading.
If you're still having problems then I'll download the evil-ness myself and tell you exactly what to do.
