MSN Messenger down?

People are always asking me if Messenger's down, my normal reply is "Usually." 
MS operate quite a lot of login servers for MSN, and when certain servers go down, certain users are prevented from signing in. Happens quite often, which is why if you ask somebody if MSN is down they'll tell you it's up, ask somebody else and they'll agree that it's down
It usually sorts itself out within a couple of hours.
