My 172 Cup on the rolling road

Nothing major, I'll be happy with matched inlet manifolds, re-map, de-cat, 182 exhaust manifold and Yozza exhaust.

I was under the impression that this was one of the major changes between the 172 and the 182 providing a power hike :S

  172 Cup
The 182 manifold is pretty pointless mate.... Tiny gains (if any) for far too much money.

Yeah totally agree with this and tom from jms backed this up aswell when i spoke to him at fcs last year.

Great figure by the way dude, thats a healthy power & torque figure you got there....i'd be well happy with that.

My 182 made 176bhp on reputible rollers mate so i would say its adviseable to just leave the 182 manifold for what its worth!

Thanks for the advise lads. Yeah I'm really impressed with the power it made, the curve it produced is nice and smooth also

  172DD Cup
the 182 manifold is all about providing more mid range torque which the cup seems to lack. i'd have no problem swapping it over, but it costs as you need a cat (and decat i suppose) modified to fit the 172 exhaust. i'm still tempted, but only if i see one come up for pence. for now i've got two 172 decats in my shed :) oh, u should give me a shout if you want a decat!

It's not peak, it changes the way the torque is delivered.

The 182 mani is worth it if you can source one cheap and install it yourself, a nice hike in low-mid range response, although it may feel less free at the top end, but that could be because the power delivery starts early and you don't have to wait for the 5K mark.

I had cams and the trade off was a lost in torque low down, with tha mani I got that lost torque and the eager top end of cams, so it is indeed worthy. END

Good figures.... Completely off topic but that video really shows how different mondial is to arctic. I was previously in the "Meh, there's not a lot of different boat" now I think mondial is swaying it
