Was nice to meet a few of you, namely Timps. Sorry we didnt catch up Jimbo.

I brought my mate along who has always been into Vauxhalls....needless to say he left wanting a RS

All in all a good day, but it was my 4th FCS now and wasn't the best. Where was the tunnel to the paddock this year!? and the rally track at the far end? Also the lack of AG 200's was most upsetting.

Next up for mine is sort out my f**kED rear shocks. It was arse-down at the show because of it. Thing is im still deciding if to stick with standard or so subtle drop. We'll see.

Looking good but it's clear how fcuked the rear shocks are.

Was out and about today and it looked nice so I took a pic....(iPhone alert)....

It's booked into my local Renault Specialist on Thursday for the rear shocks doing. I've been toying with the idea of coilovers but no.....standard she will stay.

I followed the Headlight correction thread on here; made easier by the fact a mate of mine has a rotary so it was an easy fix.

Updates.....

Rear shocks done. Elf sticker finally sourced. New Hazard switch.

Next....

New battery, new ignition leads, Oil change (due in the next 500 miles).

The car is struggling recently to start from cold on the first turn. Something's not right. I reckon it's the fact the original battery is pish but I'll take it to Dryclough Renault in Halifax for answers.

Some pro lines would sort out the slight arse down stance the Cups tend to develop over time. Pretty much o.e height, slight tighten up on the handling over stock too.

Update....

Last week it had a new battery. It was on the original battery for 74k which isn't bad going!

It also had new exhaust mounts and another new exhaust under warrantee as the welds failed on the backbox (genuine item).

I'm considering running a decat on the standard system.....thoughts?

I'm servicing it next weekend inc. new leads.

Also gonna strip down the bay and get some paint in there. I want to do an oliver.james but with Silver not Black.

I've got another detail session coming up in the next month and hopefully a visit from these boys....

I've got 3 <1p size dents in the roof that they should make dissappear. Other than that the car is flawless.

Still um-ing and arr-ing about lowering. The famous 'arse-down' look thats common with the standard suspension isn't the best looking I must say.

No, nice and standard silver. The finish is AMAZING. Western Garage in Harrogate turned my Turini's into cogs when they fitted the tyres and have paid for a full 'furb

Right....

Wheels went in for a standard 'furb on Friday morning. 3pm that afternoon they were all done. The guys down @ The Wheel Specialist are great. They're workshop and standards are second-to-none.

As far as the rest of the car is concerned it's still going very strong for a daily. She's very good for nearly 84k....
