Lookin good! What does a 100k ph1 cost these days! I'd consider doing what you're doing!

for the suspension you should have a look at the kit middo is selling! if it is the one from the lad car, it cost £1600! he is looking for £300 i think. it's proper competition stuff.

Results of todays efforts ;)

get all that tar taken up off the floor! and i still see airnag control unit to much clutter hanging around ;)

Kept the spare in so it has some weight, dan and paul both said how light the rear was, this was so dan has a spare for track next week and there is some weight in the rear.

Not easy to mount then?

Or a fairly simple fix?

I'm having all remaining trim ripped out of mine this week but was going to leave the door-cards in...but it looks like I can retain the speaker and door handle easily if they do come out.

Couldn't live without the windows though due to me being a pauper and having no aircon ;)

Take the motors/switches out and replace them with standard windy mechanisms from a pauper model! Lighter and you can get still use the windows.

Im going to speak to dan about that mate, my mate mite be able to knock something up for him. I thinking some kind of holder riveted in place. but speakers and handle is dead easy to mount

Thanks for posting those up justine.

And a massive thanks to paul for sacrificing his early sunday morning!

Next on the list is to fit the cage thats sat on my garage floor, get rid of all the non essential wiring, new steering wheel and windy windows, but for now it will do for a couple of track days. i've spent too much time and dollar for the minute, i need to enjoy the fruits of my labour!!

looked better just stripd on standard rims minus the rear 172 badge and white sunstrip/stickers in my opinion. How's about selling me the ali bonnet...?

Drives fine without the spare in the rear mate, doesnt need the weight.

You'll get used to it being light.

Aye, fiddle with the rear pressures and see how low you can go. If the front feels good to you, try 32/28 f/r. You've lost a sh*t load of weight from the rear.

If you use the shell near the ring road, you'll be able to drop them, do a few laps of the roundabouts hard, and then go back play about with the pressures til you find a f/r combo you like.

On track i set them so im using about half the sidewall, without the tyre bogging down too much in the sharper corners.

ps - cage looks good fella. Get those wheels done in black! :p
