My 2001 Clio 1.2 16v

I just got my first car, a 2001 1.2 16v Clio, i would admit, not my first choice but it's a great little car and i love it now but there is the one thing, it is really lacking in power, what can i do to improve the power and speed of the car without spending ridiculous amounts? and what parts would you recomend?

i didn't really want to go for an older car and can't really strip it out, i need the 5 seats when i'm at uni, what about engine mods?

Unless you've got alot of money then nothing to be blunt buddy. The common mods seem to include;

air filter / enclosed induction kit
cat back exhaust
decat

worth getting i have them on my 1.2 8v they make a little bit more power. with induction kit helps the engine respond better gives a really nice roar

just look after the car make it last you till you can get some thing better.

Waste of time tbh. You'll realy struggle to get more power out of the engine. Remove weight would help but this involves removing seats etc.
