Ok, so I just bought a 54 plate Clio sport with 49k on the clock. I'm going to change the Auxy belts/pulleys tomorrow as the cambelt and head gasket were changed last year and the previous owner didn't have all of the belts done at the same time. wtf?
Anyway, the brake pads have all been changed but the discs weren't changed! Scored worn discs and new pads?
So, ordering some new discs ( still debating on a big brake upgrade or not) and full fluid change to uprated stuff suitable for track use.
I reckon this car has been owned by a knurbheed sometime in the past as the airbox was drilled, pics to follow, just changed it for a 'non drilled' one.
Two new tyres going on this morning, Going to try the Michelin PS3's just to see how they compare to the Exalto's. I'm very impressed with the Exaltos tho.
Then, I want to sort the suspension creaking out, so maybe go full uprated, slightly lowered, all new bushes etc. Now, i'm not exactly a boy-racer at my age, but just want a car which handles and stops well but will still be nippy and funn on the odd track day.
Anyway, i'll sort some pics as I go along, having owned Evo's before i'm loving how relatively cheap things are for the Clio. :approve:
