My Clio Struggle

Hello guys, i have a clio 1.8 16v

i have to get my sill replaced, and the mechanic said to save myself money i have to take out passenger seat out and rear seats, how do i do this?? i know there is one set of star-keys amd the other is a solid filled bolt.

Another problem is my car is overheating really bad, like the bar away from the very top,, fan is working fine, what can cause this?

any help would be great

thermostat, maby water pump failure. my nissan was overheating flushed the cooling system and replaced the thermostat job done

thanks mate, ill get my thermostat done, and give it a coolant flush, how do i do the coolant flush? is thermostat expensive?

you can normaly tell if the thermostat is working or not by removing it and putting it in a pan of water and heating up if it dosent open then its no good.

my one was around £10

coolant can be quite expencive.

coolant is only the cost of a bottle of antifreeze surely?? £7?

to do a flush id just take the rad out and blast water though!! then flush the rad through on its own,

as said stats are not very expensive, but it may well be a waterpump failer,
however theyre normally about £20 for a pattern part.

as for the seat, theyre a TX45/40 bit on the outside, and 2 17mm nuts (i think theyre 17) underneith the car, and the seat should lift out!
