i dont know how far along you are but theres a company I am using at the moment called Europa Consultants, based in some place called Bury, the guy there is called Steve Greensmith and he has been excellent for me so far, got a courtesy car out for me within a day, and if i was over 21 he would have gotten me like for like, another hot hatch, being 20 i got a mazda 3 which isn't half bad

i was just looking through my claim sheet, and found out that the xenon unit costs £174.61 2 and a half times the cost of your standard light unit!

yeah i know. i literally just managed to get the guy on my case, the car had been delivered to the garage, so i phoned the garage and told them not to work on the car, phoned my insurance and told them to cancel the claim and reinstate my NCB, then phoned the man and told him to get to it.

so far so good, the parts have been ordered (over £1k worth) and it is now in the panel shop.

should be ready soon. dont know when though yet

Britannia are the same as well. Is good as it doesnt stand a claim on your policy although to be correct it should say Accident- no claim made.

Also like for like is better than driving round in a micra or summit.

although from reading something about insurance, if someone asks me if i've had any accidents, i will say do you mean claims, they will say yes, and i will say no

My car is a 52 plate, with 40k on it, absolutly mint, with 182 mani, de cat, straight thru to rear box exhaust, ITG panel filter, Group N ecu...

What do you reckon it worth??
You reckon it will be written off??

Thats is not looking good. if you work of a retail of 7k. then 70% max repair cost leaves 4900+ your excess. Is gonna be very close.

Id guess they wont take the risk of extra things being found shoud they repair it.

dont they usually give you the choice when the costs of repair and the worth of the car get that close? i know when i had my first car they gave me a choice and i chose to repair it and then i sold it for £500 more because it looked better repaired than it did originally lol

Depends on insurance company. I spoke to directline regarding my TF, worth 7k and they repaired 6k on it. I said I wasnt keen for it to be repaired, they said it was there choice and it was being repaired!!

Believe me i kicked off..... lol it was 6 weeks into policy... hence i'll be changing this year after theyve paid 23k+ out.... lol

Gonna be absolutely ages mate, they need to get all the parts in etc as they have not ordered anything yet, then spraying etc.......

id say 4 to 6 weeks at least........

Dont judge the micra to quickly I had one when the TF was repaired and it quite quick in a straightline..... dont think about corners though... lol.

Embarassed a few cars like 106 quicksilvers... lol.
