Some of you might recognise this car. Purchased it off nev_172 at the weekend. Had plenty of clio 172's and i have to say all the mods he has done has made a hudge difference (202bhp at the fly) Hudge credit to it's previous owner. Lots more mods to come. Few pics

I only ask as it seems like a big gain for basically cams, remap, exhaust, inlet and imo a boy racers first mod an open K and N. So thats 30 + hp gain is this normal?

Actually we regulary see 20+ bhp from modifications like those listed.

the cams make a large difference....

the exhaust is large and the 172 likes a large exhaust

the remap makes the best of the cams and inlet and zorst..

the car was very smooth to drive, i would have bought this one if i was in the market

It makes one hell of a difference. If you have the spare cash and you want to be different you really need to get this done. It's not just about the hp, it's about the way the car pulls when it's on cam. Much much better than my previous 172's. This is how renault should have made it!

Pitty I live in Australia, no one has clue about these cars here.

How many man hours does it take to replace CAMS? I can get a cheap set of CAMS off a friend, I suppose I just need to get them re-grinded?

Whack in an smt6, fat exhaust and IK, and Bob's my uncle.

the book figure to replace cams is 7.5hours i believe (specialist tools required)

when i fly out to Aus the next time, i'll bring an SMT6 with me!!
