My day off work...

Went to the local motor shop, waited for owner to pitch in his gold S-class merc (circa 1989)with 20" spinners (LOL)

Bought and over priced "caliper painting kit" - which turned out to be rubbish, think a tin of red toothpaste...(must get my cash back, anyways....)

bought some axle stands.....

first wheel off.....dirtay....

caliper cleaned up with a wire brush....

trusty hammerite at 20% of the cost of the "kit"....

camera batteries died while I cleaned up the rear arched and re sprayed the drums...

learnt 2 new things, my rims that no one likes are called "Taurus" and they are made in Korea....

meg's wheel cleaner, to be honeat I just took a pic of the first wheel I cleaned and it turned out to be the best example, the others all had some bad patches that wouldn't come clean....

aagh...no cash refund on the caliper paint, eventually was able to get a credit and got some speakers.......

plenty in winter....but not as much as the UK.....in summer its against the law to wash your car with a hose pipe...LOL.

Good work mate, got one of those over priced caliper painting kits back in the day, was mince. Hammerite all the way now!
