My DCI80

Bought this a couple of weeks ago now.

66k miles
FSH
Belts done at 50k
12 months tax
5 months mot
Air con

Paid a little more than i would have liked but its mint!

Managed to get 78.9 mpg on the 150 mile trip home, cant complain.

First thing i did when i got home. Into the shed, RS grill and silver visions where on within minuets.

Hour later my mate popped down with my 182 interior so got that stuck it and my 172 wheel on.

That was it for the first week.

Saturday morning thought to myself needs to be lower. Was going to wait for coilovers but the urge was there to fit them. So back in the shed got my old 60mm springs out and fitted them.
Glad i did because asoon as i jacked her up i noticed the bottem coil on the spring was snapped clean of. Fitted the passenger side no problem then got onto drivers side jacked up again, yet again another snapped spring! So both front springs were snapped clean of the last coil.

So springs fitted all round, Looked a 100X better already

By the time i had cleaned up had some food it was getting dark so waited till sunday to give her a good clean and wax.

Sunday came woke up and it was hammering it down! Just my luck. Waited it of and luckily the rain went and the sun came out so got out the buckets and gave her a good well needed wash.
Also polished glazed and waxed ( SRP , poor boys black hole and some megs wax ) and some megs tyre shine.
Took out all the dealer stickers and tax disc holder.

She came up well, still not happy with the condition of the paint so i will be DA'ing it fully within the next few weeks if the weather gets better.

Ordered some fresh plates and a recessed front plate, some resitors as the air bag light is on due to putting the seats in, and a CS sticker also bought some dci 80 bullets as i want to get them sprayed.

So far plans are.

Remap
172 rear bumper
Cup spoiler
New wheels, Silver Turini's possibly or get my Oz F1s referbed in silver.
Coilovers
Spacers
Colour coded side strips and door handles
Dci bullets sprayed silver with the blue I
Fit my xenon's this weekend too.

Quick photoshop of how it will look with the f1s when i fit them tomorrow which are going on until i find some new wheels.

Thats it for now.

Ill keep this updated as much as i can.

It was a mixture of motorway and A/B roads just crusing in 5th doing the speed everyone else was doing.

Yesterday i managed to get this, on a 20mile trip to town. Easter/bank holiday traffic is good for one thing!

The f1s will be going on this weekend as they have nearly new tyres all round and the current wheels are on the limits, I'll either get them sprayed in silver or save for turini's. Hopefully should have my xenons on this weekend too

Looks mint same engine as my little derv. Big collection of dci's appearing now on here. We all should have a dCi meet only . Nobody complain it's to far as you have economy !. Being serious btw.

Something like 105-107bhp and 150lbs/ft? I'd like to think that anyway. Lets all meet at RS-Tuning and see what they really have(?)

Looks great mate, really liking the lows & 182 interior. IMO I think it looks a millions times better on the standard wheels over the F1s, some 16" ph2 172 wheels would look good.

I will think of a place to have a meet at the coveniance of all the dCi owners. And I've had my dCi 80 mapped. I'm running around 98 bhp from a mild map.

Just the other day, I was thinking about getting a diesel clio and putting 172 bits on, but wouldn't want to spoil the 172 lol.
Looks nice so far, sport bumpers and skirts are a must

The standard wheels have grown on me, my mates has just bought some silver f1s so im going to try them on and see what it looks like with silver f1s. But ill keep and eye out for some cheap 172 wheels.

Also has anyone got a pearl black 172 rear bumper for sale? And preferably be able to post of local'ish. Get paid friday so think that will be the next purchase.

I like the look of the f1s. But im not too fond of the colour, so getting some plastidip next week for a quick colour change until i have the funds for new wheels or a refurb. What could dose everyone suggest? Was thinking something bright and silly or just something plain. White?

Thanks yeah i might just leave them as they are untill i can afford new wheels.

Not sure as i havnt brimmed it yet but i have seen/heard people getting 700+ to a tank. Average mpg i usually get from a 20/30 mile trip which is a mixture of driving usually about 65+

I managed 610 miles to a tank last time I filled up. Depends how you drive, mine practically gets a motorway run every weekend average of 72mpg.

Then had a little injection problem which wasn't good. But it's now back up again

Fitted my xenons yesterday
And will be giving it a clean today as its filthy after a week

Gave it a little clean yesterday before fitting my new brembo pads and discs ( Big thanks to G 172 ) also finished spraying my dci bullets and fitted them.

Bullets didn't turn out fantastic, need some new lacquer. Halfords stuff isnt up to the job.

How many miles has your car done mate, my EGR valve has started to play up and im nearly 100k on the clocks.

Though id warn you iy messes the engine up and makes it run rough when its clogged or nackered. Same engines and model dci 80.

Just ticked over 66k im going to give it a good clean next weekend, after looking a at a few dci threads i thought id give it a good clean as they seem to get clogged up fairly easy.
