My dead ***RS TURBO***

I thought i would show you lot my DEAD S2 ESCORT RS TURBO i felt like crying when this happend..i spent alot of money on this car and loved it to bits! then i got my 172 CUP (i still had the RS at the time) and i was driving it around one day as i liked to take it out for a QUICK! drive. i was just going down the road at 30mph and i just looked up at the rear view and a CLIO! **smashed** into me at 50mph i was so shocked an my mate aswell he hit me and then hit me again on the rebound! as his foot was still on the gas when he hit me full on he had a "medical problem" and i think he shouldnt have been on the road. im claiming -Neck-Back ect: as it was that bad he almost run over two people on the "foot path"! i had 4 people as back up so i was lucky but it was deff his fault! but hey thats the story im still hear and thats just metal! but a nice peace of metal

Fooooook That sucks

At least the expensive engine bits are alright - get the parts up on passionford and you should reclaim some of your £££.

Or you could just reshell it

Should be able to get quite a tidy pay out if youve been good and kept all your receipts to justify your large claim, but make sure that youve declared everything on the insurance or remove it if you havent. *paranoid* lol

Is a real shame though - I *will* have another S2 one day...

White16valver-yep sold the engine an drive train all for £900 its all gone into a Orion!

and i got £1500 from insurance and a claim for neck back but havnt got it yet.

i will have one back one day an do a ZVH 2.1

carboncopy-yeah it still looks the nuts at the front! that got the engine temp down! as they over heat so badly them FSTs

I had the option of getting rid of mine and getting a valver or trying to get mine sorted out, but I really needed reliability as I hadnt got a woman to run me around anymore lol so I had to go for the valver

White16valver-lol thats why i got me clio but yeah the power is fine on the 172 cup but just not as savage!! like the turbo was! and the noise they ,ake is luuuuvvvly! but as you say i had things go wrong 24/7 and the valver will serve you well...

Adamf-it was fast but handling wasnt half as good and it wasnt rev happy like the Cup! and wasnt easy to get off the line! but it was a quick car but wasnt as stable at high speeds like the clio is so it did have its downs...

Thanks everyone so far cant say youv made me feel better! lol but as u all say it is a nice car and always will be even in 10yrs time (all the mint ones tho!)

think he wants around 2k for it, gotta make way now hes got his nissan 300zx! i know at one point it was pushing 220bhp built by a guy who worked at severn valley motorsport, it had an engine rebuild though as it went pop, current bhp unknown but its deffo more than standard. i know its had full suspension/brake upgrade, not sure on makes but ill find out. i know it felt stable at 150mph (off the clock) and the brakes are pretty decent. bodywork is also very good considering its age, no rust. im not really into fords at all but it was always fun being a passenger in this car!!
