My Engine Bay Transformation in Pics:

  VRS
I thought i would post up a mini timeline to show how my engine bay has changed in my 12months of 182 ownership :D

It may interest you, it may not:

Standard bay:

First Mod was an ebay carbon effect battery cover and a carbon fibre engine cover bought off cs :D:

I then added the strut brace when i got the coilovers and bought an ITG panel filter:

Next came the hillpower silicone elbow and strut top covers:

In the new year i bought a viper:

I then got sore fingers polishing the inlet pipes and fuel rail guard:

Then came the big change, i bought a maxogen (which has proved to be far superior to the viper imo), bought a polished and matched manifold off ali (cheers matey) and i painted the top of the plenham black! i also sold the carbon cover to patty:

I had to buy a new hillpower bend off nick as my other one was too short for the maxogen, dave bought my old one :D:

and then we arrive at the finished article (for now lol) the standard cover was painted panther black and candy red and the strut brace was painted panther black by mark :D

all i need to do now is touch up the paint on the plenham and sort out a remap :D

yeah it is matey, it grp with a carbon weave pattern on it! imo it looks really good and is a bargain at a tenner :D

after hearing about some of the incidents that people have had with chrome covers sparking out the battery, im gld i got a plastic one lol :D

It's beginning to piss me off a little too. I cant find anywhere that I can sit for 3 or 4 hours with a drill constantly on without people shouting at me.lol.:dapprove:

im really impressed with the maxogen :D the viper gave me a flat spot aroound 3-5k and it felt like the low down torque was gone :(

the maxogen has no flat spots and it feels like the torque has returned :D

in my opinion a panel filter is better value for money but i got the maxogen at 6months old for 100 notes so im not complaining lol

i think it wil come into its element when i get a remap at the end of the month as that should get the matched inlets, maxogen, decat and exhaust all running at their optimum :D

I wouldnt mind trying a maxogen..... I am wondering could we meet up and try out each other filters and see if there is really any difference?
