my engine is poorly! please help

was driving home everything was normal then suddenly the car wouldn't rev at all so i pulled over and the idleing was lumpy then cut out. when it restarted it kicked out blue smoke and smelt really badly of petrol. the ecu light is not on the oil and water seem ok and there hasn't been any signs that there was anything wrong. any ideas? the car is a 172 and its just short of 50k on the clock

won't be anything too major, coil pack, TDC sensor coolant sensor etc
