Possibly a bit self indulgent, but I thought I'd put together a selection of my favourite shots from last year. You may notice a slight bias towards the two WRC events I was lucky enough to shoot at, but I make no apologies for that!

Around half of that set were with a Canon 40D; the other half and more recent shots were with a 7D. As for lenses, most were taken with a 70-200 f2.8L NON IS, which is THE lens for Rally photography IMO, and a couple were taken with a 17-40L, which I've now sold and replaced with a 24-70 f2.8.

A great set, mate - thanks for sharing them. If I were forced to pick a fave to hang on my wall it would be the last image in the set... there's just something about that captured moment that really appeals.

Superb shots, I do envy you rally togs for the amount of action in your shots. 13 is superb, but like the framing on almost all of them.

Cheers, I really cannot explain the level of committment Loeb showed into that corner. It was absolutely amazing - he threw the car in a good 50 yards before the corner at approx 80-90mph and slid it all the way round as though it was nothing. The guy is on a different planet! That was the first stage we got to on WRC Turkey, so it set the tone for the rest of the week quite nicely!

Cheers mate, it's some form of 4x4 Beach Buggy hybrid thing from the British Cross Country Championship. Mega quick and very loud whatever it is, I think it has a supercharged V8 or something.

Thanks Andy. My previous set up was a Canon 40D; 17-40 f4L and a 70-200 f2.8L. I've now got a Canon 7D, Sigma 10-20mm, Canon 24-70 f2.8L and the 70-200 f2.8L; so I've got pretty much all the focal length I need now. May in the future invest in a 300 f4 for that extra reach, but I'm undecided whether I actually need it at the moment.

I've just had another look through these and #2 and #9 are spectacular!
