My First Car.

  Meg R26 + Mk4 GTTDI
This is my 2001 1.2 Dynamique. Bought it off my mum earlier this year (when I was still 16) completely standard bar the crappy cd player she had in it.

Modifications to date:
Eibach Sportlines (still settling in)
KTR Full Stainless Steel Exhaust System
Full Colour Coding
Cup Spoiler
Momo Gear Knob
E-Tech Tailored Car Mats
Silvervisions
Clear Side Repeaters
16V Bullets in Nissan Graphite Grey
White Head Lights, Fogs and Side Lights
Alpine HU with iPod Lead in the Glove Box

Modifications still to be done:
172 5 spoke Wheels in Graphite Grey (which I own but havent got around to putting tyres on them yet and I'm also waiting until I pass my test when I'll hopefully be less likely to kerb them:rasp:)
Thinking about doing the front diamond graphite grey also.

Any comments welcome. Positive or negative:)

Rear mudflaps could be seeing the bin in the near future. Gona keep the front ones though as they are fitted and look okay imo. Is the number plate font not a standard font? Its just the plates from the dealer where my mum bought the car ages ago:S

Put my insurance up about 200quid:( But worth it imo

Good effort mate, very nice first car.

£200 for all those mods? Sounds good to me, insurance companies laughed down the phone when I enquired about mods on my first car.

Sure youv declared all your mods?

My insurance company wont let me do more than 3 mods, and i cant touch the exhaust or engine coz of my age and i have no ncb.

Even putting alloys on my car pushed the insurance up more than £200

Great bit of work mate, tastefully done.. will look great once the 172 wheels are on

All that before you even pass aswell, I waited till after before I even washed mine lol

Just whip those back flaps off, I left the front ones on mine aswell

Quinn Direct. Told me they didnt care about a alot that wasnt Performance increasing. I told them all of the above bar the wee things like car matts, silvervisions etc and they were only interested in the exhaust alloys and lowering.

Not to put you off or anything but iv only ever heard bad stories about Quinn Direct, including that after you pass your insurance rockets.

If your lucky and it doesnt then make sure you dont crash coz they are a b*****d to try and claim off aparently

They were the only quote under 2k on a standard clio. I couldnt afford to go with anyone else anyway. Im on my own policy. young. male. from northern ireland. 4 things that put it way up:( Yea it goes up once I pass. Already checked this out

Nice first car! im with quinn direct also, can mod your car with no extra cost, aslong as you dont touch the engine!

Don't know how they can justify that kind of money tbh

That said the number of 17yo males with standard cars that crash is ridiculous

That is a nice colour, looks well.

^^^ Are they 2.0 16V / Cup badges on a non sport Clio? :S

clean first car btw ;)

  Monaco 172
its standard UK font...however if you mean the formal XXX 1111, then thats a norn iron standard format rather than your type.

Goes to show everyone is different. Mine went up £50 for the year when I first passed, then after having 1 years no claims, it dropped by just over £200, after 2 years no claims, I was paying half of my original premium, with Quinn Direct. Stick with them if its cheaper, if the renewal comes out high, you can go somewhere else, but my advice would be to wait and see.

Oh and cool first car by the way.
