My first propper wash experience.

  RenaultSport 182
HI All,

I've never ever really washed a car properly. I've often done the generally wash, with water, but I've never really gone to town and tryed to do a propper job.

Kicked off thismorning about 9am as it was a fine day. I've just finished now.

Now I would say it was all done professionally :p but i give it my best shot.

Pics below, i'm proud considering it was my first shot, and I plan to get better and learn more :D

Looks good, silver is such a hard colour to make 'pop' :)

What products did you use?

First time I've really ever tryed washing properly, so I just got the following.

Turtlewax shampoo
Autoglym Super Resin Polish
Meguiars Gold Class Wax
Got some alloy protector sprays and tyre sprays.

and I also got a wash mitt, PC, chamois etc...

Without any real experience I went to work. You can't learn without mistakes.

I'm sure theres better products to use, but I thought I'd just jump in a try these. I plan on switching about and trying lots of products untill I find somthing I really like.

Looks good mate, nice shine to it.

If your using off the shelf products then a few coats of Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection (AG EGP) would be a good stage to add into the process you've done.

I noticed you using a chamois too, best to get rid of that really and get yourself a Waffle Weave drying towel, it has much less chance of putting swirls and light scratches into the paintwork.
