My first real drive last night!

Okay so got my insurance documents through yesterday morning, got my TAX shortly after... had a little play, but in the evening I asked to be driver for the night :star:

Right so overall I must say the ride is the b****cks, loads of grip, great handling! Gives me so much more confidence that my 206 did. I still think the seats are a bit high unfortunately, but the Recaros proper hold you in place, feel very safe.

I would have to say it's not actually as fast as I thought it was gonna be, but I think it's a different kinda speed, seems to pull very well in 3rd & 4th where my 206 was just dead weight.

Loving the Xenons! Didn't really know what all the fuss was about until I got to an A road with no street lights, they have some power ;)

Like the stereo as well the way it's changes volume to go with your speed... thing is I'm gonna change it for an aftermarket hu, will i loose this feature? I have an Alpine and a Panasonic, the Alpine one used to cut out but it has an orange glow so I might give it another chance as I think it will look a lot better!

Petrol... :boring: I put in a full wack £50, drove about 125 miles and now it's almost on half a tank! :quiet: Is this normal? I wasn't driving that hard. Or is it like my 206 and the first half goes really quick and the second half takes forever lol.

Anyway, overall, loving it! Can't wait for some long journeys, CLIO'S FTW :) (I'm here to stay!)

Same with my ph1 172 mate...

Remember that a full tank is carrying more weight so your fuel consumption will be greater =]

You have prob been driving harder than you think. You only get good mpg if you are light in the throttle or on a motorway run. But the cars are to addictive to do that, so be prepared to spend most of your days at the petrol garage like me lol:rasp:
