Steering wheel is an improvement. Personally i would have kept hold of the original mats for resale. One day, original cars will be the only ones that sell.

Indeed. Not even worth getting rid at that price. Get them steam cleaned/wet vacced. They'll come up superb.

Spot on, they are some aftermarket rubbish, the originals are grey with RS on them, very plush I hear, but rare on ebay! Still on the look out!

As for my Jammies, the piss taking only comes from jealousy! you all want a pair really!

I took the originals out when I got my RS and put them in the loft. So they were pristine for when it came to be sold. Used boggo black focus ones instead!

latest purchases:

Full brake setup. Standard rear setup, front i've gone for EBC ultimax discs, grooved, complimented by some performance friction z rated pads.


I don't plan on doing any track days, if i do it will be on a very odd occasion so a massive upgrade isn't required.


Full replacement of these because although the standard ones work well they are tired and make some horrific noise when braking from higher speeds! This lot will go on this weekend.

As expected, got the brakes fitted this Sunday. All fitted with no issues, rears discs were in desperate need of a change, the pads weren't too bad. The fronts weren't all that bad, pads needed changing for sure, discs were due. But as I said, from high speeds they were making some terrible noises.

So onto the obligatory pictures:

Initial bite feels better but very spongy after that, i suspect some bedding in is required, even after 10miles i can feel they are improving with each stop. I'll give it a couple of weeks and add a review.


Took the opportunity to clean inside the wheels a bit more.


Next up will be front tyres, there nearly on the limit.

350 ish i think, dont really know to be sure. Get over on the RSOC and ask the question.

After doing my brakes ive decided to the braided lines and new fluid. Went for some HEL stainless items. Not cheap at £107 but its for all 4 corners.

Also hunting down some HnR springs.

H&R Springs are lovely, i found the ride and feel of them to be great on both of my old FRS's, but daftly on the second one i then changed them for the KW V3's and spent weeks trying to get them set up correctly, for a long time i felt like id stepped backwards with the cars ability and handling.

should have stuck with the H&R's

Cleaned the car this morning, managed to get my brother out to take some snaps, here's the result, sun was on the wrong side of us which was shame but still got some decent results.

Nope, standard headlights still.

Next mods, which ive already purchased:

HEL braided lines and fluid, all four corners.
H&R springs - 25mm

And a big mod which im gonna keep secret until its all here and ready to be fitted

Wheels not going anthracite, not a fan.

The standard Xenon's are silver fella, you can split them to paint them black.
