My idea on how to fix my siezed coily's? Opinion?

  182
Ok so my coilovers are siezed and im sick of the stupidly low look, ive ce up with the idea that i could just buy new adjuster rings and put them on leaving the siezed rings on also, i dont plan on going that low so tey wouldnt make a difference being left on
Im sure im corect in thinkong the springs just come off the top so i wouldnt need to un-do anything to remove them to get to the coil and put the new rings on

Does this make sence and am i right in thinking it will work?

It would work yes. Have you tried soaking them in wd40? and getting some grease around the top and bottom of the adjuster rings.

May also sound stupid, but are you undoing the the right way?

Yea mate, it can go either way though cant it, left or right to go either up or down
Even had the garage i got my belts done at to have a look and they couldnt free them up

I can send them away for around £50 and get them sorted which isnt a load of money but its still £50 i dont have to spend so thinging if i can just get new rings for around £10 itl save my money
