My insurance renewal - £50 cheaper?

Never had this before...I've always changed insurer every year as they always seem to take the piss when it comes renewal time and normally there's a £50 increase or something like that.

I'm with NU Direct...last year, fully comp was £389...this year...£339.

Can't work out why though...what's changed...I'm only a year older but that wouldn't make any difference going from 34 to 35...would it?

I just had my renewal from elephant, it had gone up as expected by about £60 to £480
I went on confused.com and got it from Morethan for £320......even better, the APR that Morethan charge for monthly payments is about 5% lower than Elephant charge so i have saved nearly £200.

After all that i have treated myself to Sky+ and Multiroom! LOL

I got my renewal through from elephant (even though i have sold the car!!) its gone form £218 to £186 for the valver!!

with my previous Clio, Eagle Star Direct were always the cheapest,
but their renewal quotes weren't, I just let the policy expire
and signed up again via the website, which was usually about £100 less.
