my Iphone no longer recognises my sim card!!

Battery on my 3gs died last night, charged it back up this morning and switched it back on an it tells me i have a invalid sim, :S

I have literally tried everything<

taken sim card out and cleaned it several times,
network reset
pressed home and on/off button to do a soft reset
switched between flight mode and normal 100 times

nothing works, stupid phone will not read the sim card:dapprove:


can a sim card just die???:dead:

Try the sim in a different phone?

tried that and it didnt work in another phone either

How old is the sim?

And yes they can take damage.

Sim is only 14 months old, i do work in dusty conditions, as a farmer i have of late been driving my combine harvester and baling straw, so thinking dust may have got into the phone and killed the sim

Wife's sim died in her iPhone after two months.
