Clio RSi
Basically bought a 94 Clio RSi off ebay for £500 about 10months ago. Drove it back roughly 150miles not a problem.. The next week on the way to work it broke down and havn't had it back on the road since.
Took it to a garage and they said it was something to do with the immobiliser and that it would have to go to renault.
Took it to the second renault garage (first one was very un helpful and ended up giving the car back - tossers) and they said its the ECU, I wanted to get a second hand one but they said the immobiliser is built into the ecu and wouldnt work (Not sure how much truth is in that?)so had to buy a new one for £500
On the way back the handbrake cable snapped and then the car wouldnt brake!
Took it to a garage and they said both rear calipers were sezied and it would cost over £400 to fix (2 new calipers at over £110, then labour then vat). I've got it back to my familys workshop and now I'm going to do it!
Started it today and the one caliper isnt even seized.. Anyways been coping with my motorbike (ZX6R) but with the winter close am going to get it fixed then make sure everything else is ok before it gets cold and dark!
When i bought the car:
How it is now:
Have got a new mirror to put on!
Its been stood a while and the underside of the car has rust here and there, surface rust starting to come through on arches, so its not worth much,
Am tempted to strip it and put some buckets in etc as its already lowered, wishbones are blue and dont look standard??, it has an enclosed induction kit not sure what else as not sure on history,
Any thoughts ideas? (Sorry for essay)
