My MK1 Audi titty 1.8t Quattro (apparently boring content)

Iirc the proper Ross-Tech VCDS (which i have) allows you to do it as well, but you need some additional 'secret' codes - to try & avoid fraud, etc. Still, it does allow you to check the car has the genuine mileage on it, or whether it has been rolled back ...

The only way you can set milage with the proper Ross-Tech lead is if the clocks have less than 100km on them or they are a brand new set. Even with the SKC it is still limited. VAG-TACHO is only £15 anyways.

The way I see it is, it's like women in their 50s that want to look younger so they get Botox etc. no harm in trying to look younger.

Youll soon realise this when you hit puberty gally ;)

I'm 26. :(

Lot of car for £3k there. 'Awesome' though, serious? Drive more cars...

Gotta sort that interior out. Never knew mini cab drivers used TTs.

Didnt say it's an awesome drive did I? It's just a good all rounder an nice to drive.

Whats wrong with the interior? There's nothing in there!

The leather is in bad shape and the steering wheel is worn smooth, hence the witty minicab analogy.

Liquid Leather is what you need IIRC.

I prefer the old ones on the TT MK1. New ones look uber fake and try hard.

How you enjoying it mate? I'm still tempted with the switch.

I havent driven it since i picked it up on monday. Leanne loves it and its at a specialist, waiting for them to drop it off to me as they've finished.

It seems like a good all rounder and if it has only got 260-270bhp then it definately feels quick for what it is.

steering rack is on its way out (not 100% comfirmed yet) so need to get costings for that.

You HAVE to buy genuine RSTT's or it will look sh1te. The offset is NEVER correct on the reps, so the dish looks wrong.

In addition, anyone with half a brain will no that they are reps instantly.

Buy OEM, they arent exactly expensive:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/audi-tt-g...s_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item3a6f67ccc5
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-Genuine...ts=Car+Make:Audi|Model:TT&hash=item256c8f293a

And off the TT forum, which seems to be working fine for me? http://www.ttforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=261544

BTW, the rack is about £450 and the pump £250 iirc. If you register on VAG CAT, you should be able to get a part no/cost.

Keeps working and then going back to maintainence.

Those wheels are really common tho. Not that i am bothered, its just i would like to see what other wheels look like.

GSF quoted me £199+vat for the rack..

lol, they're common as they came on standard on pretty much all TT's from 2002 until 2006 ...

GSF price will be for a non-OEM one, which tbh, will probably be fine, not like you'll keep the car longterm anyway ;)

Real ones plus tyres will be circa £800 and new tyres for my wheels are £104 each for Dunlops. Not paying £800.

I bought a mint set last year, with Michelin tyres (on 6mm) for £395 off eBay - Just wait a little while & pick up a bargain.

Unless your 'cheap/bargain' 3 grand TT needs four tyres as well as the major service, cambelt & steering rack?

LOL. The tyres arent very good but have plenty of tread so i want to get some decent rubber.
Mileage is genuine too. :)

That gives me wood and I hate navy blue cars as a rule.

If I didn't stay in a country with such horrible roads and weather that's what colour i'd want my TT in! Epic.

There's a V6 local to me. It's simply immaculate v

'Tis a nice colour but Leanne doesn't want a blue car (I found a really nice blue TT last week which was perfect apart from the colour).
Getting the tracking done along with the 4 new tyres tomorrow at half 8 so going to be an expensive week lol.

Please, please, please... for the love of god...

I've been your voice of support in this thread, but if you love those wheels on it you're a right plonker.

The RS4 wheels modernise it so much, and with enough searching you'll find a genuine set on ebay/forum for cheap enough. Wait a few weeks if need be, just get the right wheels.

I feel I've been a little extreme, so... Love you. x

Nice cars but still too hairdress/poser for me

Audi RS6 is the only Audi I would ever buy, we all have different tastes

Took the advice and bought some 100% genuine rs4 wheels that had just been refurbed. Got some nice new shoes for them at a mates garage.

Nearly bought some TT7 wheels..

What does everybody think? (look much better IMO)

Chuck a private plate on it, updated front grille and it'll look 5 years newer with those wheels on it now.
