You used wd-40 on the engine? Thats going to be dust city when you next drive, looks good tho.

  145db Euro'd clio
nahh driven 100 odd miles to oxford and back and its still as clean as it was when i did it! the dashboard cleaner stuff was like anti-static?! lol dunno if that helps lol

wd40 ftw lol... ur engine bay looks identical to mine mate... think the car looks great buddy, keep it up, all u need now is some alloys, lower, dual optics or angel eyes..

  145db Euro'd clio
just looking into getting the ph1 172 headlights, i prefer them to angels. I need alloys desperatly(sp) but cant afford a nice set, so just waiting for some shitty scuffed turini's to turn up then i'll refurb them. Im guna lower on springs about 35-40mm so the stance is a little nicer. although i dont think it looks as high as some. some look like f**king tractors! lol. next little mod will probably be bonnet bra! and then smoothing rear bumper to match the front and colour coding spoiler. (f**k spending money on cup spolier! lol

  145db Euro'd clio
i love the bonnet bra's. realllllllll fan of the whole euro look, hence why im going to smooth the rear bumper etc. was thinking of turbines but tooooooooo pricey!

did u have a look on ebay... remember seeing a few turbines on there... im going for the euro look.. turbines would look ace.. if u save up try get some ronals or sumthing... but i think you would have to go lower than 40 to get a real euro stance and shove some spacers in too (which i am yet to accomplish) once again i like the direction ur takin it mate

  145db Euro'd clio
cheers buddy. would love them, but just cant afford them. Im not going full euro, just the smooth, clean look. if you catch my drift. will deffinatley get spacers, was looking at 20mm hubcentric ones, but not too sure! lol. I have nearly deffinatley bought some 182 cup wheels, going to go graphite grey with them after a refurb and hopefully they will make it look a little lower as they are 2inchs bigger than the steelies.

Looking really good mate, on 182 wheels should look wicked, they were what i wanted really, but settled for 172 wheels in the end!

Just a few questions for you if you dont mind mate...

Was just wondering if when you painted the front bumper, did you paint it all or just the black plastic bit?

If just the plastic bit, did you have to take the whole bumper off so you could get to it all? And how did you bend it in?

  145db Euro'd clio
i did the whole bumper as the woman that owned it before me was a dutty sl*t and drove into a lamppost while parking and ripper the bumper off, so it had a bumper on it from renault but it came in the wrong colour so they just gave it a coat of blue so the colour match was wellllll out so i actually sprayed the whole thing. if you are thinging about doing it, then i would reccomend taking the whole bumper off. it take a matter of minutes and it will be a much much better finish. if you are thinking of getting it colour coded, then if your local to me (bucks) me and my mate are opening up a body shop and we'll do the job for half the price of a garage and it'll be a good job! as you can see ;)

good work mate, doing little bits and pieces on your first car is a good way to learn, exactly what I did at your age!

yeah but i would imagine then that the sound quality wouldnt be as good as it could be, what with it only being mounted onto the plastic door panel, i was curious as to wether there is actually a metal mount/surround behind the door panel to which i could mount the speakers, so they would be more solid when playing music and not to mention driving ?

  145db Euro'd clio
yes, there is the cut outs in the metal, its just the lower end spec cars didnt have any speakers but they would still use the same door panels/shells. just whack the jigsaw out and cut out some holes then make some wooden baffles and screw them all to the matel. my rear speakers sound mint!
