Few bits and bobs still to do, skirts to be bonded on, exhaust to be fitted and satnav/tv/dvd to be fitted!

Gaz.

Tbf, that's pretty cool. I'm really warming to the mk5 and mk6 GTI's... Something like this though is ideal if you need something cheap to run but still want the looks. Nice one :)

Got my toy for speed :D

Chav ;)

Looking forward to someone posting about how they smoked a GTi in the weeg until the GTi went the wrong way round a roundabout on 1 wheel to get back in the lead ;)

That looks awesome, better pictures needed! Do you not find the 1.4 a little frustrating in a car of that size?

i'M ASSUMING YOU BOUGHT A stolen Golf gti off some smack heed for about £200 and ripped it to bits?

We have a 1.4 on the same plate

f**king awful car, it's that slow that it's dangerous

Yours looks nicer though :p

Great family car tbh!

Rather amusingly (& despite the fact i found the Ed30 boring), i still look at Gti's as a future 'sensible family man' purchase.

Black 5dr with leather, xenons & nav please

Just like yours, but with a proper engine ;OP

FLOL!! I'm on the look out for xenons atm!

Nice job. Drove a low powered diesel Golf recently around for a bit and thought it was dangerously slow! You had to really plan out overtaking! God knows what a 1.4 with no torque is like...not to mention fully laden.

You must be dizzy all the way up there on your horse?

We can't all drive Porsche Turbo's can we.

You may as well have written ''Your cars s**t and mine is better''.

Dangerously slow strikes me as a little strong. What engine was it, do you know?

I like it, i've always liked lower powered reps, not everyone wants to drive excess miles doing 20 odd mpg best of both worlds.

I also don't think Fenn meant that in a high horse way, it was just his experience of a Golf he had driven. Gaz might even admit it probably isn't the quickest/torquiest thing in thwe world but that's why he owns the Clio.

It's dog s**t slow, but you learn to drive it!

Wouldn't sat its dangerously slow at all, it's nippy when rolling!

It's best of both worlds for me, looks superb and cheap as chips to run!

Keeps my licence clean (till I use the 172 :P)

It's plenty fast when you have the most precious thing you'll ever own in the back seat!!

No, not my son... My Chinese takeaway!
