Aye because the price of fuel has gone up! Its gonna cost you more lol

As for lower mpg, cold weather certainly dosent help plus check your tyre pressures

that is crap why is it though does my head in though the only reason i have a 1.2 is for good mpg

thought the cold weather would have something to do with it, supposed to be a protest on petrol prices tomorrow hopefully they'l be a 10p drop

im really heavy footed tho, love thrashing it on the empty roads, just need to watch i dnt end up in a hedge now that the roads are icy

think yourself licky mate i get between 28 and 34 mpg in a 1.2

jesus you muist of been giving it death lol. ive seen 28 when really going for it but only when i reset the counter.

My average has been 29.9 recently but ive started driving like a granny again and in 2 days im back up to 33mpg. why i didnt buy a cliosport i do not know but the 1.2's are awful on fuel lol.

Its all about the cost of fuel!!

I'm now driving 240 miles every other weekend and I used to be able to do that kind of drive (120 miles each way) on about £8 worth of petrol if I took it easy in my Clio 1.2.

Now I'm driving in a 1.4 and its costing me about £14 for 120 miles. Can't think its using that much more fuel than my 1.2 but costing me almost twice as much!!! :(

Not overly. Only real way to work MPG out is to brim it and reset the trip counter then the next time you fill up brim it again to find out how much you've used then work it out with the miles you've done as well.

Sometimes its similar to the trip comp, other times it's not. Long motorway journey its usually quite accurate, around town its not so.

Mines 32.6 in a 1.2 16v....but I have an induction kit and backbox..so that prob dont help..not that im bothered.
and I am mostly drive stop/start in traffic.

iv had 43mpg in the 182 was driving reaaaallly sensibly and boring though just to see what i could get it was about 10c aswell so not warm. if your only getting 40 from a 1.2 somethings up

  Renault Clio Extreme 4
im the same, i get around 30 in my 1.2

i get around that in my 1.2 aswell mate, there no better than the 2.0 16v. but when i've been on long runs taking it easy i've had 47mpg so i know the cars not fcuked.

i did a 120 mile round trip on 2 bars of petrol, whatever that equates to roughly, was thrashing it the whole way(brother left his passport at home on the way to barbados***cough***t--t***cough

actualy my car seems to get better MPG when am thrashing it... when i drive conservatively and take to 5th as soon as possibly the MPG goes down quicker... wtf???
