Had to have mine changed after a few months. Had about 2250 on the clock and was slipping like a b**ch. Ended up being in the garage a week for a new clutch, with the linkages and hydraulics being redone.

All done under warrenty with no problem, been fine since, 11 months on and now on 7800 miles.

edit: When the work was done I asked them what the clutch was like, they said it wasnt worn ( I hadn't been ragging it ) and put it down to a manufacturing fault with the clutch not applying the correct / enough pressure.

Mine has done just over 11k and seems fine. Going on a 2,600 mile road trip round Europe/the ring/monaco tmrw so I hope it's ok!

What happened exactly Dawn? Did it start slipping or did the peddle just go down and not come back up again?

going around a rounabout in 2nd at the bottom of a gradual hill, give it some power 2change up and when i reached 4th it felt like i had now power,it then caught up with the revs. It was just revving like a b***h! when i got home, put it in reverse n it wouldnt budge! i had 2get it to 4000 revs 2go! :dapprove:

sorry to hear this dawn! :( mine clocked up 20k this morning! i thought there was something wrong with the clock when i looked at it

Im sure you will get it sorted! i was the same when i had a few problems with my new lotus!! not good when you have spent all that money :( :( keep us informed ;)

gutted 4 you.

assuming they fix it to a good standard, i wouldn't worry any more about it.

as has been said, most clutch issues have arisen on cars very early in their lives which points to someone screwing up during manufacture. Repaired properly, it shouldn't give u any more cause for worry.

mine is fine (touch wood) after 12k so once its fixed, just enjoy!

teething problems mate..all cars go through a bedding in period where issues may come out very soon after being built.
Happens in a lot of industries am sure whens its fixed it will be better than ever. Give it 5K and am sure she will be sweet as nut!

Still all this said above its still a bit of a kick on the arse when you shell out all that cash and somthing quite major goes balls up. Still, you could put it down to teething problems

My ph1 is still on orginal clutch.

Im guessing it will be an manufactring fault, it does happen. Not to worry at least its all covered, hope you get her back soon.
