only got a few plans for it, a GT spoiler, possibly black speedlines or something aftermarket, set of GT door cards as this has some poverty spec material ones to match the poverty rear bench!

so far loving it, its bloddy thirsty! but goes well, impressive ammount of low down grunt compaired to a 172/182, feels a little weak mid range and pulls awesome above 6k.

sounds brilliant for a standard car, brakes are great, its pissed down with rain ever since i picked it up but the grip in the wet is awesome!

200s look stunning in albi! Just out of interest what do the gt door cards look like? The handle in the 200 is in such a stupid place to close the door.

you may not be able to fit a gt spoiler without swapping the boot for one with it already fitted their was a massive thread somewhere saying it wasn't really possible

id love a rs just couldn't handle the low mpg an lack of low down torque :(

they are identical same stupid place for the handle but they are black leather rather than wrapped in tights

FB hosting sucks for one .. Try Flickr perhaps.

The white balance is the key to colour temps. Have a play warming it up or cooling it down and see if it looks any better :approve:

cheers

gt spoiler fits without a boot lid, confirmed by renaultsport.

these drive nothing like a 172/182, low down grunt is no issue on them, it feels about as pokey around town as my dci106 did! much better than my 172's were

That looks lovely Martin really like that. You got rid of the ph1 yet?

yeah sold it a few weeks back!

Like it! Did you order it yourself?

nope was pre specced and at the dealership

What mpg you getting out of interest?

averaging 23mpg mostly town driving, with a few blasts, same sort of driving in a 172 got me somewhere between 28 and 32mpg typically, 55 in the gt :( lol

Looks great mate, need pics when the lighter nights come in.

Best cure for the low MPG worries - never look at the trip computer or the pump when filling up, problem solved LOL.

fuel economy isnt bothering me to be honest, its nice to have something with a nice exhaust note and turns so many heads!

i dont do many miles these days anyway, no need for a derv as nice as it was to live with day to day!

'confirmed by renaultsport'

Who/where?

Yeah i have heard of these confirmed by renault before then people go to pick the car up and get told the tech guys made a mistake. Im sure the gt boot lid has a smaller section at the top so that the gt spoiler fits flush with the roof line.

Here is a quote from twingogeek from another forum.

Just to confim to everyone my first posts about the spoiler not fitting unless you have the other tailgate designed for the spoiler is CORRECT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
We have had one in our bodyshop to fit and it would not go on due to having a tailgate for a vechile without a spoiler. Luckly for us the info in threads saying it will fit has got renault to re inburst us back with the money that we had to give the customer back.
.
Good news he still brought a sport spoiler.
.
Hope this helps everyone with information on GT spoiler fitting.

I may moan about the Polo but 39mpg makes it bareable :D

Very nice

I'm amazed that RenaultSport/your Renault dealer are still miss-informing people about the GT spoiler fitment. 100% a GT spoiler won't work with your tailgate, that's why Renault have 2 tailgates for these, one is normal, the other has a chunk missing out the top to 'accept' the spoiler.

Lovley Martin, looking forward to seeing it hopefully this year!

I really love them now but just cannot bring myself round to the MPG front :(

I'm just curious as to who told him as my 200 turned up with a GT spoiler and they tried to tell me it would be fine as they were going to put the bootlid off a 1.2 iMusic on it LOL.

Nae chance.

it is a really nice colour that, good choice with the GT door cards i think they look great with the black leather and the white stitching,

cant really see in this picture but they have a good qulaity feel to them,

and as already mentioned the GT spoiler is a right mess on took them to days to replace my faulty high level brake light, as apparently it is bonded onto the boot best bet is full boot but that will cost a arm and a leg

spoiler isnt bonded on, they had to take mine off to replace my high level brake light too but it just bolts on, shame they never put it back on properly and it had to go back in lol

Really? I would say the 172/182 has far stronger low and mid range grunt, but the 197/200 has a better top end.

Most complain about the lack of low-end torque in the Clio IIIs!

ive found it is much more flexable low down than both my 172's were, 25mph in 6th put ur boot down and it pulls fine! And my silver one was running 160odd lbft! Feels a little dead mid range compaired to both my 72's but pulls just as hard top end, probably on par with my old 190hp one.
