Clio 200 Cup
Well as ive posted on here before, ive been tearing my hair out over the choice between a 172 Cup and an Ibiza Cupra. The deciding factor was me sitting in my mates mk2 172 (im 64") and hating the driving position. A cupra came up on autotrader at 10am sunday morning, and by 10:15 id already rung up and arranged to go down to london and see it. Well what can i say, it was immaculate, the colour i wanted (black), had gorgeous tints, a hurricaine induction kit (otherwise standard), 39k miles and was going for £6,800!!! A bargain for such a pristine car IMO! So that was it i had to have it! And god am i glad i got it, fantastic car. Gotta get used to not driving a high revving 16v car now. It came with a dyno print out showing it produced 167bhp and 165 lb/ft of torque, not bad for just an induction kit (think i got a good un!). I absolutely adore the interior, very similar to my dads audi, and the build quality is great. I really cant fault it at all at the moment, apart from poor fuel economy when the turbo is really blowing! I have no doubt the cup would handle a bit better but the tuneability of the 1.8T engine makes straight line pace its forte. Had a little play with my mates 106 gti the other night and from 20-110 i must have pulled 5-6 car lengths. Cant wait to see what itll be like once remapped to over 200bhp! Its booked in to be done next month!
Got a couple of pics here, they wont work via hyperlink
