just picked this up the other day :)
had a valver before but sticking to the french;)

Does look very nice. Any plans for it?

Oh and I didn't know there were 51 plate Phase1's.
 
yer it was one of the last mk1 172 made before they did the mk2 172
love it to bits got a few scuffs but nothing a bit of tlc wont take care of:)
 
its got 60k on it ,cambelt was changed at 55k, new back dics and pads at the back, new rad, full service history, new wheel bearings and ball goints:D for a great price:rasp:

very nice altho i dont get how you can have a 51 plate ph1 when the ph2 did come out on a Y plate - very strange.

Gotta love the ph1 action tho

well after spending over 2k on the engine in 1 year, and it still broke on me every now and again i decided to sell it and buy a astra coupe but that was w**k and i hated it.
so sold that after a month of owning it lol and got my 172:)
but i know the lad who brought my valver and hes killing it:( im not happy about that, he has put some shitty multi spoke alloys on it, and the brand new sunroof i gave him to put in it, he put it in and silconed it up and now it looks a right mess:(
 
Oh dear ^^^^ not good when its gone to a bad home, especially after all the effort you put into it Lisa.

Im sure the ph1 will take your mind off it though eh. Never seen a 51 plate one myself either, good find !

looks good, if i saw a 51plate ph 1 i would think it was wel dodgy as the ph2 came out at y
 
well if you think about it they still made the old clios up to a 56reg but started the new clio regs at 06 so they do, do it there is just not many about lol
yer its getting lowered, putting my bucket seats init next month, then im going to sort out my exaust:)
