Tbh mate, i dont think your a chav :) like you said each to their own! they will look good with the HID's installed. just need to colourcode the side strips and sort the badges out ;) maybe lower abit! looks a tidy car though.

When i bought them the seller never mentioned he had broke the clips on them, so they wouldnt stay on. Hense the sealant

I never realised this was a big no no, on the forum only really just getting involved in using it more. I think they will be coming off in the near future.

Anyone know the part no. for the original 16v ones?

And while were in the subject do i also need to take the renault sport off the back

i've fitted chav lights to my mk1, but only using the projectors for my HIDs. Not sure if my set say "not for HIDs" but they are working great, near impossible to allign properly, but havn't melted yet. Taking them apart soon to make them less googly though.

Oh, and i have no sidelights, so no crappy angel eyes lit up by 501 bulbs lol

be careful they dont mist up either

take them apart and seal them properly.

Or what i have done, taken the rubber caps off the back. Only mist's slightly through the crap weather we just had, works on every other day though

I think everyone on here are just into their same old same old silvervisions and are affraid of anyone doing anything " different " to their car but i do think sport badges on a non sport is a non starter!

Certainly prefer the dark appearance of these chav headlights to the later "grey-insert" headlights!

Wouldn't have them myself though!

Replica with badges wouldve been fine but keepin on a standard 1.2 tut tut :p

I'd imagine it's mainly for the beam pattern. I don't think HID lamps get that much hotter then Halogen lamps?!?
