Matching calipers and bullets are always a good combo...

To make it a civic type R killer?

Well to about 100mph it probably has the edge to start with, but go nuts and get some cams and a re-map, and ditch the spare wheel and kit and you're laughing :)

really to 100mph does that already christ i havent really spanked this about to much yet still getting used to it. its a lot different compared to my old car

definatly thinking of getting the renault badge colour coded blue with the calipers just not sure how it would look or how to match the colour paint any ideas?

Yeah to about 100mph, ph1 and cups are slightly quicker but not by much, ph1 revs a lot higher as well, can get to 70+ mph in 2nd gear if you fancy hitting the red thing ;)

Dunno much about painting tbh dude, ask in the bodywork section =]

I think, the ph1 doesn't have the revs ltd as harshly as the later cars. Same red line, but you can go past it. Does have longer ratios too. Get a ph2 rear end on it, standard wheels. Forget going after more power, fools game on these cars. Coilovers and some driver training will let you get more out of the car.

Well done on your new toy. Youve made a good choice.

Avoid painting bits and adding tat though. They look the best left alone.

Personally i wouldnt bother with coilovers unless your doing track days. Their rock hard, cost a lot more, you'll be slower cross country (bumping all over the bit) and you simply wont get the bennafit of which their intended. Others might disagree

see i was the same as that i wanted to get back to standard but i like people thinking its a boy racer car and not a sport when it is and also i cant afford to get the standard alloys lol. cost me enough buying this

so lowering springs then???? best bet and what do you guys recomend for this car sorry for all the questions lol

It all depends what you want. If you want it to handle well on the road, probably a Koni / Eibach set up is your best.

If you want a compromise between looks and handling, Apex springs and Koni shocks all round.

If your gonna do track days or like it totally decked then coilovers might be for you. Its all your choice :)

Standard alloys for these are a silly price. Official Renault price is 175 each but with a bit of pressure they'll knock the vat off which brings it down to the 140 ish area per rim.

Lots of other choices out there but 5 spokes dont really go imo.

Nice choice get it back to standard wheel wise tho. I have 2 standard ph1 172 alloys in the for sale section cheap 35 each, enjoy.
