My new RB :)

Now the very proud owner of a lovely 48,000 mile FF RB, collected it on Friday.

All round in excellent condition and I can't wait to start making it "mine". I have no major plans for any serious modifications, adding the stripes will be top of my list though. Until I sell my current car I am unable to insure myself on this so unfortunately it's not just yet on the road, fingers crossed I will have it OTR for the big Manchester meet on the Saturday before Trax.

Only a couple of photos for now, I will upload a few more once I have it running and detailed :)

I think it looks far better without the stripes, such a good colour!

Looks lovely, add the stripes, makes such a different, and people will look. Amount of older people I had saying to me it reminded them of the old Renault gordini's.

Yeah that's what I love about the stripes, so individual :) yep, so chuffed with it, and I havnt even started driving it yet! So much more to come!

Yeah, I was going to ask, where can I get the stripes put on? Can it be done at home or is it a Renault job? Want them to be correct so if I do it myself, are there templates or anything that you can buy/make?!?

Go to a graphic shop, place that sells wraps/stickers for cars etc, and they will fit it.
As for measurements, show them a photo of a Clio with stripes or ask
someone on here for measurements if their stripes.
It cost me £40 to get fitted compared to Renaults £90 for the stripes and
£70plus for labour.

Mate looks good. Have a look on eBay for a stripe kit by Grafico here in Australia. He does a set which measurements & instructions etc that will allow you to fit them perfectly. They even come with the chequered ending, which finishes it off nicely

I know a place in Birmingham called action graphics. If I were to get mine re-stripped then id go there but that's only because i know someone who has used them and highly recommends:)

Yeah I think ill be doing them myself, some good prep work and measurements etc will get the job done. Chequered fails, deffo won't be having that, but surely these could be trimmed off? Deffo a bargain though those ones ^^^

Looks nice, another Sale 182 owner!

I'm sure I will see it at some point, Oli tells me its nice! Did you like his new M5?

Sale RS Meet? ;)

M5 is epic, comfy but awesome! When he drove off it sounded awesome, v8 ftw!

This.

Yeah its nice, tbh, big saloons are not my thing, but that is nice for sure! Haha sale rs meet sounds win, would suggest the water park, but accusations of dogging may quickly spread!

Bargain tbh.

Possibly email him and ask him what sort of instructions it comes with. I'm sure me and Ed can get them perfect.

As for the chequered ending, I think it looks rubbish! I believe they only came on some non-UK cars, ie Australia.

Yea I reckon it'd be pretty hard to do. Like getting them the right distance from each other, from the side, exactly parallel etc.

Yeah it depends how the stripes are attached, are they adhesive + heat?!?! I think once the first one is on it would be pretty straightforward, use detailing tape as a guide and it'd be reet... we shall soon see :)

I'd fit them using a spray bottle with washing up liquid and water to lubricate.

Get them lined up and then squeegee out the water and its stuck then, much like fitting window tints (Yes I once thought I was cool with my 1.2 and its limo tints)

£30 for a couple of strips of vinyl is a rip off...but 1 good thing is you'd have the right length/width
