It's up for more than I paid for it in 2019 I think. Can't remember exactly what I gave for it. It's a shame about the problems. The body work was really good for its age when I had it, and I replaced 90% of the suspension.

He's the third owner since I sold it though. The guy who bought it from me claimed he was buying it for a weekend/track car, but punted it on immediately (I was told afterwards that he was a trader, so was lying to me for some reason), then I saw it advertised again a couple of months later, which I guess is when this guy bought it.

Yes under 4k easily as prices have really fallen, although Clio 200’s have quadrupled in price I hear ;-)

2011 Renault Clio RS200 | eBay

Here have a Clio 200 that I've owned for the last 2 years. I bought it with a broken gearbox, which I replaced and then completed a full service using Renault parts and replaced the cambelt, dephaser pulley, water pump and aux belt.

I know it needed a few bits but it was a bargain for someone, lovely little project track car.

It’s certainly had an odd ownership since it left you.
A lad in Wales had it, and was selling with a tapping engine. He had recently joined the pages, wanted a deposit via BT straight up, but had also posted about ‘his other Clio’ not long before too with exactly the same story of engine woes. Very odd.

I saw a used Clio 200 bumper for sale for £700 on eBay so I guess it’s worth more in bits i agree what a shame
