My other Runner.

  Megane 275 trophy006
So this is my Fez with the 2.0ltr conversion (mk1 mondy engine/ECU/MAF)
1.6 out 2.0 silvertop in (as blacktop would take more to get it in but has a few more hp)

hmm there are more pictures but probably in another account...
It also had an interior change from the 1.6Si wingbacks to the RS1800 Ravenflow Wingbacks.
Upgraded the sound system. Full service. Tyres and alloys changed. Door catches replaced (as doors weren't shutting right), changed the intake to the one off my 1.6 for a temporary stop gap, thermostat replaced. Other stuff but I can just go on and on.

Plans left.
Get the idle running right (I stopped the stalling in the cold but it still wavers between 700-1k rpm)
Get the RST bonnet on it (once sprayed)
vents, Spoiler, wing mirrors, door handles and runners back to black (good thing my 1.6si is here as a donor for parts.
Remove slight rust patch from the arch.

It'll get there but not while its my daily it won't :D

Its actually not that bad. No loud exhaust as it really doesn't need it and very quick as the car weighs next to nothing and does 0-60 in (my quickest time) 6.8 but normal driving about 7-8 seconds. Loads of torque right upto red line but it is so lour on anything above 70 and the fuel consumption isn't great in comparison to some cars (put it this way the 197 will be a lot quieter and less thirsty)

For all its faults though I love it and the chasis in the Si is superb nothing like driving it up the lanes by me and chucking it around corners at 1am and knowing you don't have to slow down. Will top out at about 125mph which is a good thing as anymore and it would shag the gear box (very short gear ratios)

Keeps up with a Fiesta RSTurbo and a fiesta ST. How do I know this lets just say we may have had a challenge ;)
The cars were both owned (the other fez's) by people I know and it was great fun.

thats cause of the temporary bonnet. It looks a lot less bad then that with my normal bonnet on it. I detest the scoop but it was that or put a Red bonnet on it. At least that colour matches.

Trust me it isn't a chav car. I have owned a chavved fiesta for a very short space of time and this isn't it.
Barring the colour of it (I like fiat/ford orange) its a pretty good sleeper if it was standard black but it would cost too much at the moment to restore the colour for the whole car.

The exhaust although stainless steel all through is of standard size. All the bumpers and extras are Si spec (if you unsure what a fiesta Si is look it up) none of that (bar the scoop and engine) is added to the car.
It rolled out the factory like that, albeit black.

As you can see here

LOL @ that meet picture. Point proven?

For me, it's the colour that's screaming pikey. Otherwise it's standard ish.

A fifteen year-old tangerine-coloured Fiesta is only ever going to be called one thing, unless it's really special.

Has potential, but you should have kept the colour standard rather than Asbo Orange.

Colour was previous owners choice. Although in the flesh I like it and its a lot nicer (not so in your face) especially with half a tonne of dirt from country roads) :p

Brought it as the shell was mint and its almost impossible to find a 15-16 year old fiesta with little to no rust (after owning 4 do I know that)

I want it to go back to Tormallard Green (my 1.4 si colour) as that imo was the best factory colour of the Si's but I could go moondust silver as that colour is very very rare.

Problem is I've been looking into getting it retrimmed and resprayed and its something that will cost me a fair bit and considering its going to mostly be a track//meet car I have to weigh up my options as I can easily maintain its current colour but if rust does start to appear in the next year or two the the only way to go is attack and respray!

The meet photo was fordfair 2010. mustang GT500 my first physical sighting, what a car!

Manchester but there are 2 orange (or was) up north.

I'd be quite interested in running this up against my 197 as they should be evenly pegged in handling terms and the fez will have slightly more pulling away speed as its more torque-e lower down the range.
0-60 speed is similar too depending on how much the fez is pushed.

  Megane 275 trophy006
the current one is lol.
tbh it's personal choice. Chav or not it's got the speed to back up the mouth.

it does split views though (like marmite) love it or hate it you can't deny it :p

ah that's whilst I wait for some standard induction hose off another si.

to get the larger MAF to fit to the smaller 1.6 hose (K&N as the standard hose that was originally on it was a state) I had to make a slight slit in one side.
slide it over, heat wrap then insulation tape just to be sure it's airtight.
then just the standard metal security clip over all that.

  Megane 275 trophy006
temporary bodge till either the hose gets here or the 197 does, then off the road with it :)
I'm still a novice with most of it but I know enough to do what i've done. security torx are hell lol

Tom it's pretty nippy if I'm honest. really responsive to the throttle but with no ABS it's tricky to manage. need to uprate the brakes to ST150 disc and pads. they just fit behind the 15" ford alloys so that and braided brake hoses are on the list.

Fair enough, my mate has one of these, was a 1.3, prev owner put a 1.8 in it. Has cossi front bumper n skirts etc etc, very noisy but it has nothing in it except for 2 seats. Quick to me , but then I drive a 1.2...

  Megane 275 trophy006
that's a good power bump.
don't suppose you know what fonor car the 1.8 was from?

I know a lot of people with zetec s drop 1.7 puma lumps into their cars as it's a straight swap (or easy as) the 2.0 into the si.

Mondeo I think. He's always looking for parts from mondeo engines so I'm guessing that's right. Don't know anything about fords so can't be much help. Has 3 letters on the intake mani if that makes a diff? Like EFI. I can get a pic if you like. He's in Kent so you may have seen it about.

  Megane 275 trophy006
efi is the standard fiesta inlet but mondeo engines run on those as mine is ,as are other modified ones.

yeah it's a pain sourcing parts from the early mondeos :)

I've seen 2 running around Purley way. one of them is someone I know the other is a black one but it has pov spec bumpers (good sleeper barring the big old exhaust) so I don't think thata him.

What's a 7 year old baby blue clio with racing stripes, no suspension and loud exhaust classed as? ;)

Nah his red (well 3 different shades of red) he's in se Kent. I think he's on afew fiesta forums (idk what ones). Hang on here's what it is, make more sence to you then me.

  Turbos.
When i was 17 i wanted an Si. The smoothed bumpers were out of this world.

Now they just look a bit weird, and in orange its even worse.

Sorry dude, it looks a heap. Maybe if it looked boggo it would get more kudos, but there is no Q Car appeal in a Terry's chocolate orange on wheels.

  Megane 275 trophy006
Hmm he has changed the cam cover so no visible clues. Looks tidy from the engine bay alone. Looks lie it's been sprayed and/or treated at some point.

The cam covers give the biggest clue really but it'll more then likely be an early mondeo (mk1 93-96) :)
Non abs fiesta though (although abs on the mk3 was worthless) no PAS either by the looks of it. Nice weight save there.

Lol that's my nickname as I'm a natural redhead and my hair is currently back to it's natural state recently.

Like I said personal opinion you don't like then fair enough, I dont follow what everyone else thinks I have my own style. No sheep here please :p

Yeah it's nice but not my thing, gaz coilovers make it very stiff. No abs or pas yeah, and workout windows too.

Had idle problems, lack of maf/map sensor or something?

I had a 1.6 si from 17-21, great car!! Poly bushed throughout with Spax coilovers :) was gonna plonk a 2.0 zetec turbo in it, but tin worm took over ... Went french instead, havent looked back tbh.

  2.2 bar shed.
Sweet, a car thats gone down worse than my Rover. Fantastic. As for the car, if it was black I'd like it alot more :(

You need boost. 300ft/lbs+ is where the cool FWD kids hang out nowadays ;).

  Megane 275 trophy006
All further in the pipe works ;)

Little idles can be down to an incorrect ECU/faulty MAF/MAF wiring (like mine) or the intake isn't getting air (in most cases)
When my correct bonnet is on the turbo vent sits just above the intake but as it is now the air isn't circulating as it should.
The engine gets blisteringly hot so it needs a vent or bonnet raisers of some kind to let the air out.

Sir dave 2 of my previous fez had a nasty case of rust. Wheel arches and sills are the worst places for it.
This one has been attacked and thankfully clean floorpan/arches/engine bay barring the fan which could do with being replaced.
Polybushing makes a lot of difference. Need to do that to my next set of wishbones and get my updated suspension mounts on it. Strut braces increase rigidity as well and I have a set to go on it. Along with replacement ARBs :)

I like it. The reason it won't go down well on here is because it isn't liquid purple, doesn't have silvershites, doesn't have turonis, isn't exactly the same as every other car on the forum.

The asbo orange isn't great, could have gone with the Mexico orange colour instead. Get it on track!

It's pretty bad and tbh a bit of a shame for a really good car. I loved my brother's Si was a great little drive.

His was Black, looked rather good for it's age.
