Crimping a new connector on did not solve the connector continuously coming off the starter motor, so I figured I needed to find a better solution.
I've added another ring connector to the nut on the solenoid, whilst keeping the normal spade connector for some redundancy, as it'll be a pig to get to that nut once its on.
I've taken the connection back up away from the manifold with the use of some fireproof fibreglass clad wire I had laying around.
Hopefully this is the last time I need to touch the starter!
