My UR R26 Project.

I've had this a couple of months now and thought that I should make a project thread for it.
I picked it up from a chap in Swansea and paid £6400.

It needed the cambelt doing, so it was booked into see James and Mike at MWM, where I was told that it wasn't very healthy and needed new injectors.

So I've now been enjoying it.

Things that need doing:

Front discs and pads
Top engine mount and stabiliser.

Things that I want to upgrade:

ITG Panel Filter
Cooksport Springs
Respray the bonnet
Stage 1 remap
RS mats

It already has a Dump Valve and the back box chop on the exhaust.

Looks good, Do UR come with colour coded roof rails normally?

I wondered about that. Because my old LY had black roof rails.
Not sure on other colours either.
​Scutch has a UR R26 also, wonder if his rails are red as well?

All ph2s do, only the ph1 comes as bare plastic.

R26.R spoiler really finishes of the rear end.

Best colour I think. There's a really nice one in Chester but its not a f1. Anyway yours looks mint and as joe said needs a r26r spoiler.

I was looking at white ones but they were all around £8000.

Has red roof bars, lux pack and no stickers!

They only did GW right at the end of production. And the lux pack. Which is why they tend to be more..

New Engine Mount and Stabiliser bought today from Renault.
Will get them fitted next week.
Cant wait, the car will feel so much better.

Engine mount now fitted and the car feels so much tighter.

Also gave it a clean as well.

Love R26's they look great in UR, just never been a fan of the decals.

Looking good, i was wanting one with decals but im pretty glad the one i bought doesnt have them.

I also went for a UR Lux packed one. Brilliant car! Just feel that i want a bit more power so i may get a few goodies next year.

I recommend the back box chop mod. Sounds lovely. Has a lovely deep burble.

I heard you lose the whistle off the turbo when you chop the exhaust?

Also, is it the center box or back box you cut out?

No you definitely still get the whistle.

It's the back box and centre box you chop, so you basically have one straight pipe from the CAT back.

Both of them cut away? My mate has that and he doesnt get a whistle, his meg sounds mental though! Like an actual jet taking off..

I,m sure both of mine have been cut. Was done by the previous owner.

It sounds immense, I have a Forge Dump Valve on mine as well, it's ever so slightly chav, but it does sound awesome.
