I know a few of you like my pictures of the random Automotive events I attend etc. So thought I'd share my personal highlights of 2013. I'm not a pro, this is a hobby. But feel free to point out all the flaws in the photo if you really need to !
Guess I better start at the beginning? I did (For quite a few months) keep up a 365 this year. I'm a bit disappointed I didnt finish it, but the main Idea behind doing one was to get me thinking a little different with the camera, and have fun.
So here's the Golf on a rather grim 1st of January. The main interesting part of this year is I've kept a car for the entirety of it! A first for me.
1/1/13. 365. by Jason.Easton, on Flickr
Early in the year, I took what turned out to probably be my final walk around RAF Upper Heyford. Although most of the stuff I pictured will remain, last month they started demolition of the Communal side. Nearly 20 years after the Americans left it vacant. Feel free to have a google about the place, plenty of info and explorations if you're into that sort of thing. And if not, you may recognise some of it from the last Fast And Furious movie, or World War Z. (Full Set HERE)

Then we had some snow, once again I found myself at Heyford playing with Zi in his Z3 (No homo).

I made a little Video about that too, which can be found HERE.
The main thing I liked about the 365 is I got some good pictures between car shows or events, I had an excuse to break the camera out and take stupid photos. Documented the year quite nicely.
Here is my friend Ben, in Hospital after a nasty Motorbike accident.

A few of us had to work way past midnight in the early part of this year to get cars out ready for new customers. In this case, I believe it was ESM for the (now defunct) ALMS.

More work stuff. It was fun watching the LMP1 update go from pattern, to mould, to part and finally to assembly.

And then, I went to watch it race. Strakka Racing ran one of the cars in the WEC (World Endurance Championship). Was nice to see one of the cars running just up the road, at Silverstone.

Unfortunately, that race ended in a bit of a smash, retiring the car.
Of course, I attended a few DCO (dub club oxford) meets. Although I'm not into the scene much anymore, I still enjoy the cars and have a lot of mates through them locally.

Also had a nice Sunday drive out in Boon's Corvette, where we were slightly outnumbered by Hondas...

Started bringing my Camera into London a lot more this year as well. The Chelsea cruise was a great mix of American Muscle.

Next event my camera followed me along to, was a PistonHeads sunday service. This one was hosted by Jaguar, and was fantastic!

Back to "Scene" stuff after this, with the Players Classic at Goodwood. Probably one of the highlights in the car calendar for me. Was spot on! Even if me and Zi were still spraying his wheels at about 1am before the show.

Then, for what is becoming a yearly tradition, we played tour guys. Some guys from Europe came over for South Mimms Honda meet, and we gave them a tour of London. Unfortunately on the way there, the Z3 spat a rad hose out. Seeing as though it seemed like we may be there for a while, I hopped in the Corrado with Charlie and went to the nearest pub. After bringing back some beer, we headed on and met up with the others. Eventually, a few hours later, Zi appeared. Having removed the rad with Ben (who came to the rescue) and then refitted it with new hoses. In a Bus stop. Hero work!
