Mystery wire?

I noticed this wire had dropped down into the passenger footwell yesterday.
I haven't got a clue what it is. I've only had the car 17 years lol.
It's wired into a white plug as in the pics and has a plunger type switch on the end. It doesn't do anything when I press the plunger in, so God knows what it is and does. I know the Toad alarm box is hidden up there so not sure if it's something to do with that. The alarm seems to be working fine.

I can't help myself. I just keep pressing it constantly as I'm driving along 😉
As well as killing Cambodian children. I wonder what else it does?

I've never seen it before either lol. And yeah. I've had it from new, Clio 182.
I messing about in the passenger footwell cos I was having problems with the cable running to my dash cam and this thing just fell down. God knows what it is. Unless like I said. It's something to do with the Toad alarm box that's up there.

Looked like alpine sub wiring on first glance.

Must be alarm related as it's not oem.

I'm guessing it must be alarm related too. The alarm seems to working OK.
I'll tape it back up out of the way.
