Nürburgring Trip.

So since I'm hanging out my arse in Munich, thought I'd pop the photos I took from the Nordschleife.

Left on Saturday, early morning, in the stupidly loud Corvette. (Videos to come of gunshot popping and loud MURRRICCAAAA noises).

Stayed at the Hotel an der Nordschleife. And had a pretty decent view...

Got up nice and early the next day and headed over. The temptation to rent one of these was unreal. Very nearly took a MK3 Clio 200 out, until I heard the excess on the car alone was €8000

The carpark was a wash of stuff and just got more and more interesting as the day went on.

Got a couple of "on track" shots. It's pretty terrifying. Video games just dont give you a true impression of the gradients, the off camber corners, the blind apexs. And the amount of nutters. So nearly got taken out by a Kamikaze Ford Ka.

This guy spent the entire day pounding around in his Megane. Lap after lap, all day. When we got back we could see him still going around from our hotel. Worst second hand buy.

To summarise the 'Ring I'd just say... go. Go to the f**king 'Ring. Sell your kids or w/e just go. It's petrolhead nirvana, people from all over Europe in one car park just chatting about cars and hammering them round. Perfecto! I need to come back with my Golf. Now if you excuse me, I need to go lay down.

Well I'd take the Clio over the Astra anyway, would have far more fun in the rs.

They were sound! I'd recommend Hotel an der nordschleife to anyone.

That corvette looks like amazing fun, I am meeting my uncle out there aswell who is going in a 206 gti, DB9 and A r26. I am looking forward to a lap in the DB9

I've stayed in them a couple of years ago. They are very nice but just found them a bit far from everywhere if ya wanted a drink at night. Always stay down in adenau now so we can wander out into town for a few beers at night

We camped last year, and the year before that so it's a step up from that.
Camping is such a laugh tho with the fires/beers and German Rock music playing, just last year it was wet and put us off.
Plus we couldn't find any villas that sleep about 16 people?
