if i said to you my brakes arent as good now as they were when i bought the car, which bit (or bits!) need replacing? im thinking either brake shoes or discs. the rear cylinders have just been replaced (at great expense).

rear brake cylinders are cheap matey !!....i think they are only about a tenner each !!...then it only takes about 20 mins each side to fit.......did you replace the rear drums ??....perhaps thats why the job was a bit more expensive ?..............has the brake system been bled ??.......if you go to a proper garage..i.e main dealer...you can have the system flushed & new fluid put in...that sometimes improves performance..(brake performance that is) having braided hoses fitted can improve braking....but only a bit !...............or you could opt for the brembo conversion that someone is offering for £500..includes calipers,discs & pads !!....but you need min 16" wheels to go over em !
