N95 Slow?

First off sorry for whats probebly yet another N95 thread. I've no time to look through the site for my answer, so im posting the question now.

I've owned the N70 (Orange) a year or so ago and it was painfully slow (IMO) at just skipping through the menus to get to texts etc. Is the N95 similar or is it nice and quick?

Is it easy to update (Nokia service centre?) and how easy is it to de-brand (My understanding is that branding slows the handset down?)?

i had an N80 which was stupidly slow but ive found my N95 to be brilliant. if you open the gallery or camera there is a slight delay but nothing that effects the useability

I havent had a problem with it being slow.. its not instant but its not slow either. Browsing images in the browser can take a second or two to load but in fairness each image taken on the n95 is 5mpix !

Battery is charge each night really although I have gone about 3 days without recharging.

People have reported problems with the slider getting loose (it will wiggle from side to side but I havent noticed this on mine yet) apparantly only affected the first batch.

Not sure if you are aware, you must exit any app or mrnu you are in or it runs in the background.

If you return to your 'desktop' and hold the menu button down a list pops up with all backgroup processes, this will effect any future actions until you close them.

Also - make sure 'auto-detect WLAN' is set to off. Im sure my N95 was set to every 5 mins.

i noticed the back ground thing. Why the f**k does it do that?!

And whay do Bluetooth files come through as text messages? So so poor. Nokia can still learn a thing or two from SE imho.

You need to change the product code using some special software to an original n95 instead of orange. Then the phone will update itself with original firmware using the standard utility.

Can't remember the name of the software but if you search for change product code n95 in google it should come up. Quite easy to do iirc.
