Nasty crack sounds

When i open the passenger door, two annoying cracking sounds and feels like something being twanged. Cant see anything though, any ideas? Ta.btw, sorted out my radio problem, turned a plug on the back upside down so that it has a constant feed.

Not the hinges drying out and needing oiling?

Sounds like it, just oil or grease everythimng you can see that attaches the door to the car.
