Neby here, 1.4 conversion

Hey guys, after some advice as im not too clued up on french cars. My girlfriends got a 1.2 8v clio on a 2000 W (phase 1) and the other day her cambelt snapped at about 70mph. Ive done a compression test and...well there isnt any. should fit but a 1.4 16v from a megane would look better and go better i think

If it was up to me mate id slap a v6 in the back! Im not so much worried about the mounts lining up etc that should all be fine. Its the loom i cant be bothered to replace. U reckon the 1.4 lump will run on the 1.2s wiring harness?

i think so i asked my dads mate the other day bout it and he said it drops straight in mounts and all are the same n i think he said wiring loom would b fine though i would get the ecu with it 2 b safe

Engine drops straight in its the wiring its the problem

Forget it unless you know what you doing and realy like chalenges.
