Need a bit of help

Having a bad time with a boadyshop that did some work on my car and fucked it up.
Have atlast got them to say they will fix it but need a fav.
Here are some pics of the mess they have made.
overspray on lower grill.

Next the nice split

and i love the way the bumper is fitted

Also the top grill is not fitted right but dont have a pic of that on my work PC.
Could somone post some pics of these bits on there car so i show the fuckin idiots how its ment to look. Same colour would be great but does not have to be.

What do you mean, isn't it clearly obviously that the grille shouldn't have overspray on and there shouldn't be a split and the bumper should fit flush to the wing. Why would you need pictures to proove it. Do they actually think it comes out the factory looking like the above.

And if they took the bumper off, why did they mask the bottom grille, they may aswel have took the grille off ?

Ye i know i have been going nuts. The garage and the insurance engineer kept trying to tell me that you can never get a bumper to go back on the same.

They did say that you can never get a old grill fit in a new bumper.

So if you or anyone could post some pics because if they try it again i am going to my insurance and need pics of what it should be like.

Ye i know its nothing to nuts about but after they said the split by the wing was there when i took it in they can get it spot on now. I hate being spoken to like i am stupid.
Unlucky for them i worked for 8years at a plant that made bumpers and painted them.

So please boys and girls help me get my car sorted.

I've worked in a bodyshop for 10 years , if it isnt right it isnt right. Have you complained to the insurance company ( If its going through insurance )
It will be sorted then

thats bull on the grille, it just clips in! if you clip it in correctly it just simply fits! bumper fit should be simple for a decent repair shop and there should be no cause for overspray!

The crap garage is Walsh Autos in Wirral.
I called my insurance who sent an engineer to come look at the car. Even he said it was a poor job but then said he would have a word with the manager of the boadyshop. Knew it was going down hill when he called him by his first name and said he was a mate. Rang me that night to say he had spoken to him and that he says the car was like that when i took it in and its my word against his and sorry.

As you may gess i was not to happy at that. Am now at last after a lot of phone calls to insurance and garage getting them to sort it but dont hold out much hope. Thats why i want some pics to give them to say this is how its ment to look and i will not be happy with anything less. Cant belive i am having to do it but they are that stupid.

Does anyone have any advice? Ging to ask for a list of work they are going to do to fix the mess they made and get the manager (wanker) to sign it.

Alaso going to take pics of the car now and note the clock and how much petrol it has.
Last time they had it they managed to use a whole tank.
Is there anyting else i should do?

I am so pissed off with them but even more so for the people who dont know and just belive the creap they tell them.
Sadly for them i do know and am never going to let it drop till its right.

Most bodyshops I've been to won't let a car out if there were imperfections in the work, maybe some not even as big as those. They have to look after their customers as well as their reputation remember, both go hand in hand if the customer leaves happy!

Print that out & get it sorted ^

HaHa as i said thats one of the things they said to me. That you can never get a bumper to go back on the same once its been taken off and you can never mach paint. My only answer to that was "Are you taking the piss?".

As a bodyshop, that's what they are meant to do, not what they say they can't do!

If they have a negative attitude towards their own work they will get negative customers, as you have just proven with this thread

HaHa ye that was funny. Asked the Manager were it had gone and his answer was that it had been left running in the shop. What for a f**king week? knew it was crap when he gave me £20 out of his back pocket.

Right it’s only taken me 6 months to get sorted but my insurance have now told me
I can take my car to another garage to get fixed. Going to Renault in Wrexham. Anyone know if there any good?

Getting all new bumper, grills and splitter.
Will try and get them to give me the old one if anyone wants it?

Right getting the car back at lunch so fingers crossed its right. Cant belive its taken this long to sort out.
Sorry did ask if i could have the old grills to give to somone but was told no.
Will let you know how it is.

Flol! It's such a shame good bodyshops are so hard to find these days.

It first went to the joke of a garage last January after i slid in to a kerb on ice and damaged the suspention arm.

Bumper did not get damaged doing that but got scraped underneath going on the back of the wagon.
At the time i could not understand why they had changed the bumper but
thought great i have a new bumper. But when the paint started to fall off a few months later was not so happy.

Well its only taken from Jan 2009 but Clio is back to the way she was. Still missing a spliter but that was my falt so will sort that soon.

And look a bumper that fits and is not split.
