Need a Digital camera under £200

My mate is after one but has to be under, can any of you recommend anything? also he's a noob

told him to go for Canon or Nikon. And he's been looking at the Nikon Coolpix L120, is this any good?

I'm after the same thing, need to buy my Mum one for Christmas and it's been a while since I looked at cameras (infact, since I bought my 350D back when it was new!). Any help would be good

Most of the stuff in the Panasonic TZ range is pretty awesome... Not sure off the top of my head if they have a viewfinder though.

Lumix FZ38 fits the bill, she wants a smaller camera to put in her bag, the 400D she has is too big :/ I'll have to look at the FZ38 in person as the dimensions don't look massively different!
