Need a new engine!

Hi Guys been looking at your site off and on and now need some help!
The connecting rod broke on my engine sent the piston smashing in the valves and on the way down made bits of... you get the idea one dead engine!! 37000miles Yreg 2001. As you can guess I'm not happy!
So Renault want over £5000 to fix it and the car's not even worth that!!

So anyone got any ideas of what to do? And where to go?

add about 500+ for fittin, but still considerably cheaper than the monkeys at Renault.
