Can anyone give me a rough estimate of bhp at flywheel of a renault clio 1.8 16v mark 1 with an aftermarket exhuast and induction kit?

Rough estimate is fine.. just so I can get a few quotes in anticipation of an engine conversion..

Ta!

lol, that is what sounds right to me. I know they're around the 130 bhp as standard, so 10 bhp for a filter and exhaust is reasonable. Call it 150 if you're ambitious?

ull see about 5bhp from an exhaust and probably loose power from an IK so id say 140! but not forgetting that most rollers are not that accurate

mine once made 147bhp on one rollers and 169bhp on another in my old 16v!

Never go by book figure, how do you know your Valver is 137 bhp from the factory and over time as things wear and get crap inside you will be less. Some Renault tuners say best method of increasing bhp is checking and replacing all components like Rotor arm, dizzy, ht leads, spark plugs, filters, oil etc. And use of additives like Forte will help restore to normal.

Would say you would be lucky to get 140bhp with just filter and exhaust.

Running 148bhp with BMC CDA sealed induction kit and custom throttle body adaptor, Magnex including decat and BB chip so by having an IK that I presume is open, no chip and no decat, think you may find you are actually less than standard. Especially as some mods don't actually improve power until they are used in conjunction with other mods.

Only true test is a before and after run. Although as you already have the mods you state 35 quid or whatever a power run is will tell you. As every engine is different no-one can really guess.

sorry got them the wrong way round bhp at the wheels is the lower figure and bhp at the fly is the higher, so if you get 140 bhp at the wheels its 182 at the fly. 28-30% higher at the fly. i think, but im starting to confuse myself lol

id say 135-138 an exhaust wont give all that much and an open air filter will make things alot worse off! The filter will draw in alot of warm air from the engine and use that instead of cold air and will seriously reduce engine performance!
